Today would’ve been Jackie Robinson’s 94th birthday. The Hall-Of-Fame second baseman
for the Brooklyn Dodgers, who integrated baseball and was a staunch advocate for civil
rights is honored with today’s Google Doodle. As a bonus, check out the vid below of
Robinson’s first ever visit to Chicago’s Wrigley Field on May 18th, 1947. To date it still
remains the largest paid attendance count in Wrigley’s history.
