Ernie Paniccioli, where do we start?  He's a Native, a Photographer, an Activist.  One of the realest men, we here at Manifesto have had the opportunity to meet.  He has been photographing and documenting Hip Hop, Politics, and The People, for over 30 years!

Ernie's first book "Who Shot YA?: Three Decades of Hip Hop Photography" is must have.  Period  "The Other Side of Hip Hop" is a film about his life, art, politics and photography, and has received rave reviews.  You can find out more about the film, and watch it live at Hiphopotherside.com

Some of his other published works are "Four Decades of Artwork By Ernie Paniccioli"- 1966-2007 was a limited edition printing. It included 50 black and white drawings. "Ernie Paniccioli Four Decades of Color Artwork"- 1962-2007 is another showcase of Ernie's skill, which contains 45 drawings, paintings and watercolors.

These three books and many more are avalible for purchase via his online store here.

This video below is a presentation he did this year at Toronto, for Canada's Manifesto Community Projects.  Getting into Ernie's head is one of the hardest journeys one will venture.  But it is well worth it.  Enjoy.
